I’m glad you …
I’m glad you mentioned alternative sources of protein because eating a couple of meat items per week is not enough. This also provides good ideas for college students who don’t want to eat just cup of noodles every day.

I agree, the fats …
I agree, the fats contained in peanut butter are actually much better for you than those in butter and sweets. In fact, humans require moderate amounts of the very fats peanut butter contains to stay healthy, Also, canned veggies are basically the same as fresh veggies nutritionally, the only difference is that they must be rinsed off before consumption. Besides, canned milk is really just milk, it just may taste a little different. due to the canning process

you know something, …
you know something, ALL milk, (canned, & fresh) is heated before they sell it, and you won’t find any microorganisms in fresh milk, plus it tastes better than canned milk…

peanut but isn’t butter. neither is apple butter or sesame butter. not all fats are bad. we need fats in our diets. and for children especially fats are super important.

Peanut butter is a paste made from peanuts, not a kind of butter. the only ingredients it needs to have are peanuts, oil and salt. You can check the brands that have the least calories.

That’s why I think …
That’s why I think it’s “healthier” to eat fresh one.Peanut butter is butter(i know, not of animal origin)and it’s fat anyway.Where I live canned milk and frozen food aren’t cheaper than the fresh ones because they go under more steps before arriving to the stores(the cheapest foods here are in the street markets!),and fresh milk productors are very carefully controlled by the government during the procedures needed to make milk fit to be drunk. You won’t find harmful microorganisms in it.

I didn’t mean to be …
I didn’t mean to be unpolite, my “you americans” was in fact ironic and not sarcastic, so i really don’t want to argue. Maybe you are more informed than me. I knew that when you freeze food, the water inside the food becomes ice (obviously) and increase its volume thus breaking some fibres inside the structures of the food itself. When you heat the frozen food to eat it the ice melts and with the water flows away also al lot of the good elements contained in the food. (sorry for my english!)

This is also a …
This is also a video on how to make healthy meals on a TIGHT BUDGET, in other words, how to make healthy meals even if you are poor. I think people would choose fresh fruits and vegetables if they were able to afford it. So ignorant…

Peanut butter IS …
Peanut butter IS healthy, as long as you eat it in moderation. Frozen vegetables have the same nutritional values as fresh vegetables, you just have to prepare it properly. The video said to buy fresh season fruits, except for bananas and apples, so that part of your comment doesn`t even make sense. Canned milk is actually “true fresh milk” minus water, and it actually happens to be healthier because during the process of being heated, some harmful microorganisms are destroyed.

Strange! I began …
Strange! I began eating a lot less healthier since the economy went nuts! 1 trick I have taught myself though is when I do go to a fast food restaurant, I look for salads, baked potatoes (but am careful of my butter use and use light sour cream), and find that some of these places even have yogurts and fruits! :p

I know cheese is a …
I know cheese is a bit pricey but just a little dairy can really spark a meal and still keep it cheap. Tacos made with your own dried beans, spiced up, add a little lettuce and tomato and just a bit of cheese is a cheap, good meal. Without cheese it looks and taste too bland. I think it physiological. It doesn’t take much to make you fill like you are not being cheated.
